In April 2022 I decided to take my first astrology course ever. It was eye-opening. Incredible. It felt as if I entered the magical world of Harry Potter and I just got accepted to Hogwarts. Under the teachings of Chris Brennan, I was able to acquire so many generous resources that I don't believe I would have found had I done my studies myself. For that next year, I began watching hours and hours of content related course work that went over the basics, but also advanced traditional techniques that began my craving to explore other lectures, seminars, and books- omg BOOKS. I also was able to research gatherings of astrologers and low and BEHOLD, I found NORWAC, an astrological conference held here in the pacific northwest. I screamed. I jumped up for joy. I bit my nails down to the quick. Literally. I know... gross.

As I walked into hotel lobby, I saw Rick Levine. I didn't say anything as I was frozen in anxiety, but it was cool none the less. It felt so weird being around people and hearing, "I'm a Pisces Mercury." Shuffling down the hallways you see all types of people, merch, books, and the coolest part? Experiencing live lectures from people you only see on the internet, like Adam Elenbaas. Enamored. Immediately.

I ponder on this a lot. Would I have experienced any of this had I studied by myself? Probably. Eventually. I mean there are other people who function just well doing self-study their whole life. Astrology does not have to have some special certificate, however I wanted to list down why I believe doing course work is valuable. So here we go.
