Hey ya'll 😊, by the time you're reading this, I will have created Venus in Taurus talismans !!!💕♀️. This past month has been such a journey. Leading up to Venus’s election, I felt an undeniable pull that I just had to share. It's a pull that came during a Venus hour months ago. It felt like I was given a RSVP invitation to meditate on her nature and correspondences every single day and not surprisingly at all, what started as preparation turned into something much deeper and profound. This is how it always starts out for me, a sign, a divine signal, a beckoning. This process became a devotional practice, a way of building a genuine relationship with Venus herself. And as the days passed, it became clear that this wasn’t just about the talisman creation solely by itself, it was about truly understanding what it means to dwell within her sphere, especially with her so comfortably dignified in Taurus.

To begin, I had a memory during one of my ritual sessions and it was one that evoked a sense of relating/understanding of Venus in a way that is observable and visually captivating. It was a vivid image from a movie I really adore called Teen Witch. This is where a character, Louise Miller, the social outcast discovers her magical gifts at age 16. I think this would be every teen's dream, to make people fall in love with them, to attract the most desired outcome, to ditch the unflattering clothing and re-invent yourself. If you’re into or understand planetary synodic cycles, you might know that this specific age aligns Venus with the years 8, 16, 24, and so forth. These are the moments in time where love, attraction, marriage and social connection often come into focus. When examining Venus in the nativity, her condition, the houses she rules, and her aspects to other planets, we begin to see the stories and patterns she tells: of relationships, friendships, self-worth, joy, and beauty. Think of young love, discovering your romantic style, or even the desire to be seen artistically and celebrated for it. This is the sweet sensation of Venus in motion. On the other side of things you might have patterns of that exact opposite, stories of breakup's, heartache, envy, inadequacy, debauchery, or resentment. This is the not so sweet sensation of Venus in motion.

Today, I want to share why I chose to create Venus talismans. The inspiration behind them. A couple sources I worked with. My personal gnosis. And the potential side effects of working with the realm of Venus. BUT first, here is a quote from Louise's character when she was reading from a grimoire that really stayed with me. Side note, movies and stories really have a way of reverberating into life’s themes and while not everything that is on television is real, the words, the imagery, the music and theatrical display encapsulates what can sometimes be misunderstood/missed if we don’t look and pay close attention. Any type of media you consume is going to be evocative to what your heart wishes for.

Teen Witch, 1989 Movie

“Magic works by stimulating the harmonies 🎶that exist in nature. All things natural are under your sway.”

This quote reminds us that magic is about control and altering, not only the environment, yours. When you align yourself with the rhythms and natural correspondences already present in the material world, you can influence things such as grace, beauty, “riches”, friendship and love. Together, these script lines reveal that Venusian "glamour" magic can be subtle, bonding, relational, and influential in the material which is quite different from what we would experience with the malefics which are forceful/strategic/conflictual (Mars) or isolated/enduring/restrictive (Saturn). Venus is so magnetic in the sign of Taurus and is all about drawing people and possessions (🌙 exaltation) in. Within this election, which I will go into detail a little later, we have the Moon applying sextile to Venus for this planetary election. Venus's basic nature is to reconcile and unify. The Moon's basic nature is to receive. When you have these two in contact with each other, it can feel inconstant, but the basic understanding/delineation is that you can acquire possessions, goods, friendship, love, and all that good stuff.

It Sucks To Feel Wronged

In medieval astrology there is a certain placement that you can look at in your own chart to see what type of divination you do, where, and how. It's called the "lord of divination". This is to say the 3rd triplicity lord of the 9th house. So if you are a fire rising, your lord of divination is Saturn. If you have an earth rising, your lord of divination will be Mars. If you have an air rising, Jupiter. Water rising, Moon. This technique was supposed to be used as a stand alone delineation as far as I'm aware that could potentially describe certain aspects of your life when it comes to magic, astrology, and accuracy in predictions. Although Dorotheus, a first century astrologer was the first Hellenistic author to give precedence and use the planets triplicities lords to give certain signs of future events, Al-Andarzhagar a 6th century astrologer provided a singular meaning for each triplicity ruler for each house (36 total). Although I find usefulness in both techniques, Al-Andarzhagar's method is intriguing and a favorite of mine because it gives me a sense of direction and confidence when it comes to my own divination practices and how I can best study the occult sciences, and interact/participate with the divine. It's liberating quite honestly.

Which reminds me of the questions I had to ask myself when I first started studying astrological magic, was why? Why am I doing this? Well, my whole life has been me overcoming obstacles. Whether that be homelessness, poverty, addiction, feeling like an outcast, sexual trauma, racism, sexism, workplace violence, domestic violence, the deliberate killing of my people, ancestral trauma and having to adjust to a life of looking like the people I don't know because of displacement. It's a lot and I honestly don't bring it to light enough, but I am doing this because maybe there are other's who have experienced what I have and just understand the darker topics of life.

I began this journey of creating talismans with the realization that I and other's have been "wronged" in some capacity and maybe this word you don’t agree with to which I say, please bare with me. This isn't to say that we are victims per se, but that we have been in situations that felt like a constant burden, unfair or perhaps fated. Astrological magic for me has been a bridge, a loop hole, and a solution. I see it a relational tool kit to commune with the spirits at specific auspicious/inauspicious times where they are in the ideal condition for prayers, petitioning and talisman creation. The process for me with Saturn as my Lord of Divination is that when something goes the opposite direction in which freedom turns to blockage and liberation to oppression, that is my que to create and get to work. It's like a strong urge to bring together what has been torn apart. Which brings up a general message I tend to say during ceremonial rituals which is totally paraphrased, but a general script, "I have been wronged. I am grieving. This is what happened. This is my requested remedy/desires. With the upmost reverence, I ask, please grant me my wish and make me whole," I scream to the sky with humility. (Screaming is a little dramatic, but damn... why is life so hard sometimes?)

Some written notes on Venus
Some written notes on Venus

Yada Yada. My point? It sucks to not be popular. It sucks to feel alone and outcasted. It sucks to not feel beautiful or joyful about life. It sucks to be broke. It sucks to feel alone. It sucks to long. It sucks. I relate to this so much and I think that if you are reading this, you do too. My high school days were filled with longing of friendship, of comradery, of wanting to have fun & be popular. Was I? Hell no. I was the loner who kept to myself and still today that resonates into my daily life (Sometimes I like it that way). The truth is, I wanted to create these for people who long to feel love, romance, attract friendship, TRUE friendship, and become THE ultimate socialite. To have access to Venusian gifts. I too desire fun. I desire to have people around me that make me feel good. I'm sure you do too. Which is why I created these talismans and it's important to point out that when it comes to magic, there has to be a reason why we do it, this is mine.

So fast forward to one of the rituals during Venus's hour, I got this overwhelming sense of joy. Things like glamour, romance, and sex came to mind and as you can see in the above picture, the keywords have this opulence to them and what came through was extensive. Imagine being a room with all these Venusian correspondences. I was thinking a lot about 80's rom-com movie's specifically where people dressed glam and were preparing to go to prom. Music, dancing, drinking 😉, decorations, a little drama. These love stories that pull on your heart strings became the center focus and it made me realize the commonality with all these movie titles, Venus is how we adorn ourselves, our truest desires, and can represent art, fashion, friendships, reconciliation and religious worship/ceremonial rituals specific to unification and binding. With Venus in pristine condition in this election, we can expect great beauty, popularity, eroticism, wealth, and success when it comes to these area's. A renaissance astrologer, William Lilly says this about Venus when well dignified which gives lot’s in terms of what can be imagined when working with her.

She signifies a quiet man, not given to Law, Quarrel or Wrangling, not Vitious, Pleasant, Neat and Spruce, Loving Mirth in his words and actions, cleanly in Apparel, rather Drinking much then Gluttonous, prone to Venery, oft entangles in Love-matters, Zealous in their affections, Musical, delighting in Baths, and all honest merry meetings, or Maskes and Stage-playes, easie of Belief, and not given to Labour, or take any Pains, a Company-keeper, Cheerful, nothing Mistrustful, a right vertuous man or Woman, oft had in some Jealousie, yet no cause for it.

What I understand from this. A person that is quiet and non-confrontational. Clean looking. No wrinkles or stains on clothing. Drinks more than eats. Has sexual desires. Loves music, entertainment, and baths (cleanliness), good conversations, dressing up, play NOT work, and might occasionally experience an episode of jealousy. This is precisely things that we can do to enhance our appearance in the physical world and try to avoid, notice, or re-structure. By participating in activities/behaviors that attract and magnetize healthy, natural relationships, we enter the sphere of Venus and all that she has to offer. Venus talismans help foster a relationships within our environment and help build up what it is we believe we lack in the social realm. These are definitely things we could focus on a little more as we align with the nature of her, which is to unify and reconcile. Where can we find harmony?

Venus In Taurus II | A Linga-Yoni | Moon- Mercury

ree

A linga- Yoni, Taurus decan II, is an image that combines the silhouette of a phallus and vagina symbolizing the creation of material matter that was designed by Austin Coppock. Recognized success is found here when steadiness and discipline are merged in rhythmic union. Dance, art, patterns, repetition, belonging, wholeness. When they are all incorporated together, we create a sense of togetherness. In this Decan, Venus placed here demonstrates that desire is refined here when we plant and tend to seeds that are meant to grow into lasting crops that eventually will come with ease if patient. Plants need consistent care. It is no longer about chasing what we want, but about cultivating it. Seeds that are planted with love, tended with care, and harvested in their time. This decan reminds us that plants do not bloom overnight. They require rhythm. They require touch. They require waiting. And so do we. When we treat our lives like gardens, nourishing, weeding, resting, we align with the Horai, spirits of time and season, who teach us that true abundance is a result of harmony, not haste. Taurus decan II is deeply aligned with the Horai’s teachings because it emphasizes rhythm, patience, and the rewards of tending to life with care and consistency. Just as the Horai governed the timing of the seasons and celestial order, ensuring crops were planted and harvested in due time, this decan is about working in harmony with nature’s rhythms to create lasting material success. It is not a space of rushing or forcing outcomes, but of cultivating stability and prosperity through steady effort, much like the Horai's guardianship over time, growth, and seasonal order. The presence of Venus here refines desire into devotion, making the act of building something beautiful a slow, sacred process, one that mirrors the divine timing and harmony that the Horai represent.

The Walled Garden | Cancer II | Protection of Love

In the movie Practical Magic, Sally Owens, a sweet young girl, casts a love spell called "Amas Veritas". The premise is to summon a man who, in her eyes, couldn't possibly exist, featuring specific details like being able to flip pancakes in the air and having one green eye and one blue. This is done in an attempt to avoid falling in love and suffering the same fate as her mother, who died of a broken heart. What I find particularly interesting is that this movie is staged in a house full of witches surrounded by beautiful flowers, specifically roses externally and internally. It’s a cinematic mirror of the 2nd decan of Cancer, a place astrologer Austin Coppock calls The Walled Garden. This is a space of emotional safety, abundance, and intimate connection, symbolized by the 3 of Cups, where three women toast in joyful celebration. It reflects candid, healing conversations with those you trust deeply. Therapists and confidants thrive here, helping others ultimately open up. Like a greenhouse or an egg, it symbolizes the enclosure and protection of what is vital, allowing vulnerability and development from the core. What grows here may be unusual, but it is strong. However, where there is protection, there is also exclusion. Those within the safety of the "walled garden" must reckon with those outside it, those in scarcity or isolation. Ultimately, this is about understanding what you need to protect. "You are safe here” is the message of The Walled Garden.

In my Venus in Taurus election, I chose to have the Moon (foresight) in this subsection of the zodiac as a means to be an active progenitor of protecting that which we love (Moon applying to Venus). To not only recognize love, but to protect it from those in your environment who envy it and/or wish to harm it. It has the potential to act in order to shield the sacred, not out of paranoia, but out of reverence. Amas Veritas in Latin means, "Love of Truth". This acknowledges that love must be rooted to something that is honest with clear intention, not artificial or superficial. Sally doesn’t cast the spell out of desire. She casts it out of grief, legacy, and fear. Fear of wanting something too deeply. She believes that to want love is to risk devastation. And so she dreams up an impossible man, thinking she’s safe from heartbreak. Love listens to the deeper current, through tears, through intimacy, through truth & honesty. Her spell works. The impossible man eventually arrives, not because she believed in love, but because love believed in her. Which when you imagine Venus, it is much like having a supportive friend who encourages you to go after your desires. When we call in love, we must be ready to receive it, without fear, without illusion, and without walls too high for anything real to enter our sacred temple. Amas Veritas: to love truthfully is to tend the garden, not just for beauty’s sake, but to make space for something real to grow, and to let people with sincere intentions in.

Although I acknowledge that these astrological factors are safe, there is a possibility of encountering situations or people who talk about feeling enclosed, sheltered, and being stuck with internalized fears of not having what we love safe-guarded, disrupted, tended to, or preserved. With all these pro's I've listed, I think it is only fair to go over the con's that provide room for growth, wisdom, and healthy challenge. We don't depend, we co-create.

  • Envy: Discontentment or resentment due to seeing other's possessions, qualities or luck.

  • Not staying true to one's self and being unoriginal.

  • Favoritism.

  • Excluding others for the sake of social reputation.

  • Becoming a snob. "I'm too good for this."

  • Unrecognized privilege. Do you reach out to others who are not in your social sphere?

  • Hiding yourself for hopes that it will keep you safe from being perceived in social dynamics.

  • Jealously and vanity are all things we should be aware of.

  • Groupthink. Are you making your own decisions or are you agreeing to keep peace?

The desire to protect ourselves, while it is a natural human instinct, can sometimes summon the very things we’re trying to avoid: loss, severance, disharmony, and doubt. These experiences, though often unwelcome, aren't inherently negative. They’re signals though, cues that we are approaching the sphere of Venus, where connection, pleasure, and harmony are being compromised in our lives' or others, and need to be reconciled and unified.

Chart Analysis and Ritual For Venus in Taurus

Venus in Taurus Election
Venus in Taurus Election

I love this chart. A few reasons why is that Venus is rising in a night chart. She is averse Saturn and has separated from Mars. Dignified in the sign of Taurus her nocturnal preferred home and rising as a morning star With this signature we then get the "goddess of war". Strategy comes to the forefront as Venus in a nocturnal feminine sign becomes more masculine (tends to initiate quicker action) due to her solar phase. What this can indicate is a feeling energetically we are ready to create change than merely waiting for it to happen. Moon is in Cancer (cardinal-initiating), in the third house (her joy), waxing, and copresent with Jupiter, this provides us opportunity to learn specific skills. The Moon is widely trine Saturn which is greater than 13 degrees. I think that is a wide enough orb to mitigate any disturbances of malefic nature. What I really liked was the Moon waxing and applying sextile to Venus. Both dignified. This is all occurred during Venus hour and gave me 22 minutes to comfortably consecrate, suffumigate, and engrave each pendant and talismanic oil.

The con's about this election. I didn't particularly like that the Moon's next aspect after Venus is Mercury. Mercury is peregrine and Mars, in a night chart is in the 5th house (in the temple of Virgo) of pleasure, creativity, romance, and joy. The positive is that Mars is Venus's sect mate in a night chart. On one hand, you might encounter conversations about conflict in their dating lives or children or just pleasure in general. Typical 5th house topics. This is great for knowing all the tiny details. On the other hand, you might be able to use this to your advantage as a talking point on how to relate which in turn creates amicability, friendship and lasting trust.

On June 26th 2025 at 2:32am PDT in Everett, WA, I suffumigated each pendant with sparrow feathers, violets, rose petals, and lavender. Agrippa says the incense of Venus is "musk, ambergris, lignum-aloes, red roses, [and such] flowers such as roses, violets, saffron and such like..." Three Books of Occult Philosophy Book I, Chapter 44. "The Sparrow also was dedicated to Venus, which was Commanded in the Law to be used in the purification, after the Leprosie, a martiall disease, then which nothing was of more force to resist it." Three Books of Occult Philosophy Book I, Chapter 28. I called unto Venus using all her names & I petitioned Venus for love, sex, money, and friendship. Engraved into aventurine and malachite stone pendants will be the symbol of Venus.❤️

Carromancy | A Gentle Flame

Reading the melted wax

If you don't know this about me, one other form of divination that I am highly keen of is carromancy. Carromancy is the interpreting of shapes and figures using melted wax. I get a lot of information from this and it's one of my preferred ways of communication when it comes to ancestor/spirit work. Very often, almost every time, I use melted wax as a way to gain insight to what it is I'm thinking about. So it was not a surprise that I would encounter such a beautiful moment prompted during an attunement session.

During one of my Venus sessions, I noticed the wax pouring and melting pretty fast. I didn't cut the wick (call it lazy), so instead of seeing just white wax, you can see images appear which drip in this darker almost black tar hue. What I saw was a woman figure standing in the back and it felt as if she was starring at this figure that was turning their back and walking away. That figure felt sad, isolated, alone. It felt as if they were crying too. At this point the lavender incense is strong and I'll Stand by You by Pretenders is playing. Tears stream down my face, because I recognize this emotion very well. Seeing people suffer or being the person who is suffering is hard. I thought about the moments in my life where I encountered true friendship. Where a person's suffering prompted action and thoughtful dedication to be there and bring them back whole. It's important to be there for them when we recognize that they need support and know that it is reciprocated without a doubt. This is unification, maybe not by a physical means, but spiritually/mentally yes. This collection is called Darkest Hour. It is fun, light, friendly, and intimate. At the same time, it is sexy, dreamy, romantic and alluring.

Effects of Talisman and Talismanic Oil

ree

A few things that I can list off that have been very prominent since wearing my Venus talisman: sex, friendship, social grace, popularity, food offerings, photography with loved ones, compliments, treats, relaxation, music, leisure, fashion, hygiene, make up, and money gifts. There have been very memorable moments that are unlike any other. Specifically on the sex spectrum. Foreplay, sensory regulation, dreamy encounters, and the art of "building up". It's orgasmic, intimate, and prompts being in the moment. By engaging with one or more of the five senses, touch, sight, smell, taste, and sound we promote relaxation, stress relief, and even cognitive benefits in relation to how one speaks or communicates. Somatic awareness and embodiment comes to the forefront. Above I have mentioned a list of con's, but haven't truly encountered a dynamic where any of those things have happened, except for conversations prompted by people who were dealing with conflict/psychological trauma with 5th house topics. Not really a con, as I've found it therapeutic for the person to just have someone listen and affirm/stabilize (Jupiter copresent with the Moon) their experiences. Instead, it's been a lovely time and has enhanced leisure times where socializing, gatherings, and eloquent communication comes in strong in a very nurturing and protective manner. I wore my talisman multiple times in settings where there were a lot of people. It was amazing how many people greeted me. Not totally abnormal for greetings to happen (let's be real), but the amount of people passing by just saying hello and interrupting my conversations felt as if there was an increasing positive effect to my presence and that I was well-known or established in connection with other people. As far as gifts, I was given a ticket to pop singer, Marina's concert. This was a personal kiss from Venus in my opinion. This never happens to me. I listened to Marina's album Princess of Power non-stop and incorporated a lot of her songs into my rituals during her hours and days. I was kind of blown away from this because I've always wanted to attend one of her concerts and now it's real. It's happening. 🤍

So friend, I think you are reading this because you feel called to work with Venus in some capacity. This can be done in several ways. Praying during her days and hours, on Fridays is an option. Finding an election to petition her which requires time and patience is a fine option too. However, in the case that you feel you would rather carry a vessel with you to communicate and build a bond or use a fragrant rose-jasmine talismanic oil, you can find this collection in my astrological magic shop, Cauldronarium.

With the upmost respect and love I thank you for reading,
