Out of all the courses I have taken, this one on Electional Astrology has been the most fun, because although natal astrology is cool and all, my heart yearns to learn more about astrological magic and one of the key components you need to have a strong basis on before even studying is learning how to configure and choose dates/times that can bring success in whatever matter that happens to be on your radar.
Wise words from Benjamin Dykes once said, " With respect to conception, we normally want to choose the best life for our children, or atleast to present them with the best opportunities. Therefore being able to deliberately choose a conception promotes both knowledge and goodness." Therefore... I treated these elections like they were my babies. What would there best life look like if I had to choose within a pinch of time to have them... and I do mean a pinch.... hehe... if I had that choice... which I do in this scenario... because I am an astrologer... and this is hypothetical....DUH.
So here we go... I had to pick 2 elections within the future that demonstrated the rules for successful inceptions. In this article, you will find my electional charts that I picked out with a bonus option from me and then feed back from Chris Brennan with a revision chart. 🥰
OPTION #1 💅🏾

SUN/SOL ELECTION
This election was sought after during the time frame of April 10th-May 11th. Using the ephemeris, I chose the Sun to be the main focus as it is going to be exalted in Aries. So I made the Ascendant Leo and the Ruler of the Ascendant to be the Sun. The Ascendant is in a fixed sign so this is good if you want the matter to be strong and lasting. In this case, the Ascendant is making an applying trine to the Sun in Aries. The Sun is in the 9th house which deals with
higher education, philosophy, astrology, things dealing with religion. It is in a good house where the Sun finds its joy.
This chart is a day chart, thus making Saturn the Malefic to sect and Jupiter the benefic of sect. Mars the malefic out of sect and Venus the benefic out of sect. I emphasized Jupiter and the Moon in Taurus being in an angular house. The Ascendant is in an applying square with the Moon which is exalted in Taurus and with Jupiter in Taurus. Although the Moon is separating from its conjunction with Jupiter, both are in good condition, free from exact aspects to Saturn and Mars in the 8th. Uranus might cause a sudden event when it comes to 10th house matters, though I don’t believe that is something to completely freak out about.
Since this is a day chart, I wanted to make Mars the malefic out of sect to be marginalized, so it is in the 8th in conjunction with Saturn. However this does not affect this solar election since they are in aversion to the Ascendant. Things having to do with loans, death, taxes, benefits from fatality, and inheritances should be avoided.
OPTION #2 ✨

MARS ELECTION/MOON IN CANCER 🌙
This election was sought after during the time frame of April 10th-May 11th. Using the ephemeris, I chose Mars to be the main focus as it is in its own domicile in a night chart in the1st house. So things pertaining to appearance, the constitution of the body, health, physical vitality would all be great things to focus on in this election. So the Ascendant is in Aries and it is in an applying conjunction with Mars it’s ruler. Mars is well-placed by sign, house, and aspect.
This chart is a night chart, thus Mars is the malefic to sect, Venus the benefic to sect. Saturn the Malefic out of sect and Jupiter the benefic out of sect. Venus is in its domicile in the 2nd house, Jupiter is also in the 2nd, although it wouldn’t be able to exert its most positive significations due to it being the out of sect benefic. Saturn the out of sect malefic is in aversion to the Ascendant and marginalized in the 12th house. Things associated with hospitals, large animals, foreign travels should be avoided.
NOW, I am aware that Venus is making an applied sextile to Saturn, however this election would solely be focused on things pertaining to the first house. There is some mitigation, like Venus being in its own domicile and although there is not a lot of evidence on reception in regards to exaltation, Saturn is in Pisces and it is in a soft aspect.
Finally, the Moon is angular in the 4th house in the sign of cancer. The Moon is making an applied square to the Ascendant and Mars. With Mars in domicile in a night chart in the 1st and the Moon being in domicile in the 4th, both configured to each other, this would also be a good election for more private matters. Things dealing with home and domestic matters, parents, land and estates. According to dignity, the Moon is in great shape.
Option #3/My Bonus

BONUS MARS ELECTION WITH MOON IN LEO
This one is similar to the one above, however I wasn’t quite sure about the angular Moon in Cancer being in a harsh aspect to Mars. Both were in domicile so it would not be as bad? In this election, I was able to make the Moon be in a succedent house. The Moon is in an applying aspect to the Ascendant and also making an applying square aspect with Venus which is in its domicile, the benefic according to sect. Although both the benefics are not in an angular house, they are in the 2nd which is the lesser bad house.
Saturn is in the 12th in a cadent house, which is in aversion with the Ascendant and Venus is separating from a sextile with Saturn. I think this is a very good election.
This would be a good election. I think Venus, Sun, and Jupiter overcoming the Moon in a superior square might be beneficial when it comes to things dealing with children, pleasure, creativity, and recreational activities. The dignity is not as good as the other election. However, it is not as bad as being in aversion to the Ascendant.
In both of these Mar’s elections, the ascendant in Aries is good for moving things forward, taking fast action, getting things that need to get done, done.
The Feedback From Chris:
"Hi Tori,
I just finished reading through your test today, and you did great! Here are some comments:
Chart 1: This is a good chart! Nice work putting the malefics in non-angular places. The exalted Moon is growing in light and supported by Jupiter but separating. A day will pass before the Moon makes exact contact with another visible planet which is not ideal, however once it does, it makes a sextile with Venus which is favorable. You chose a great chart ruler, placing the exalted Sun in its joy, and I also like that you’ve configured the angles within three degrees of luminaries and Jupiter.
Chart 2: While it can be tricky working with a malefic chart ruler, this would be a solid chart for working with martial, Aries, or first place topics that require assertion or initiative. Cancer and 4th house topics look good as well. Given the rulers of the 7th and 8th are in good condition, working with those topics could also go favorably. Great job placing the malefic contrary to sect in a cadent place; I’m not too worried about Venus’ application to Saturn given it’s a sextile. The Moon is waxing in great condition, but applying to an overcoming square from Mars. Though ameliorated and even constructive in a night chart, I like to avoid this if possible. I did see one potential alternative the next day about the same time. If you set the Ascendant to 17 degrees of Aries, configured to the Moon at 17 degrees Cancer, the Moon will be separating from a trine with Saturn and applying to a sextile with the Sun. The Midheaven would be configured to Mars within 3 degrees so we’d still have that angular connection as well.
Excellent work! It is clear that you understand my approach to elections really well. You passed the test, and I attached your certificate of completion to this email. Congratulations!"
