In astrology, there are five major aspects that astrologers commonly use to analyze the relationships between celestial bodies (usually planets) in an astrological chart. These aspects are:

  1. Conjunction (0 degrees): This aspect occurs when two celestial bodies are at the same degree of the zodiac or very close to it. It is considered one of the most powerful aspects, signifying a strong merging of energies and influences. Traditionally speaking, it is said that although this was not considered an aspect in early Hellenistic tradition, it later became more prominent in later tradition.

  2. Sextile (60 degrees): A sextile occurs when two celestial bodies are approximately 60 degrees apart. It is generally seen as a harmonious aspect, suggesting opportunities, ease, and cooperation between the planets involved. Astrologers say that this is a Venus relationship. I would interpret this as a soft aspect of attraction and the ability to magnetize what it is you wish for or what the planets in relationship would like to manifest.

  3. Square (90 degrees): A square aspect occurs when two celestial bodies are approximately 90 degrees apart. It represents a challenging aspect, often indicating tension, conflict, and the need for action or resolution. This is a martial relationship. The square represents that of Mars which likes to initiate action, "pull the trigger", solve conflict.

  4. Trine (120 degrees): A trine occurs when two celestial bodies are about 120 degrees apart. It is seen as a highly favorable and harmonious aspect, suggesting easy flow and positive cooperation between the planets. This is a jupiter relationship where we have the opportunity to grow and have freedom to create situations in which will benefit or expand in terms of what planets are involved.

  5. Opposition (180 degrees): An opposition, also known as a 180-degree aspect, occurs when two celestial bodies are directly across from each other in the zodiac. It signifies tension, polarities, and a need to find balance or resolution between the planets involved. Saturn relationship. This is about enduring and creating structure between the two planets that are having tension.

These five aspects are fundamental tools in astrological analysis and are used to interpret how planetary energies interact with each other in an individual's birth chart, revealing various aspects of their personality, life experiences, and potential challenges or opportunities.
