Aromatics & Ancestral Veneration

In a meditation, I asked spirit to show me something within Three Books on Life from Ficino something that I needed to know. fips through book. "Democritus, when he was at the point of death, to gratify his wishes of his friends retained his spirit for four days by the smell of hot loaves." I said, "what? I am not cooking you 4 loaves of bread, get out of here." 😂 (I would if they really wanted me to) I obviously didn't read it correctly lol

When using incense, we are corresponding it to the entity/spirit we are connecting to. This includes aromas. As I was reflecting on this, I thought about my own experience with attunements and petitions. Much like when I want to calm a person, I can use lavender essential oils and defuse them. On a smaller level, we do this all the time. We take sprays we have that have specific scents to not only remove, but to attract. Like the people who visit and hang out at our homes. Smell is so important and has an air ♒quality to it.

Take this concept of aromas and weave it to your ancestral veneration & god work, you can essentially cook with certain spice rotations to attract either political, astrology, witch, or basically any lineage of people you want to communicate with... and it doesn't have to be a relative, but if it is, I suggest use their favorite fragrance. This is the Venusian process of attracting which is why Venus is associated with rituals and cleansing. 🧹🕯️🕯️🕯️🕯️🕯️🕯️🕯️

This is where friendship is intertwined with Venus in communicating with the dead, the old, the ancient. I will probably write more about this, but for now just a small insight I wanted to share.
